The YWCA Boston has provided and subsidized transitional shelter and low income housing since the 1880's. As part of it’s historic legacy, the YWCA Boston today retains more than 280 low to moderate income and transitional single resident occupancy (SRO) rooms. The Berkeley Residence at 40 Berkeley Street in Boston's South End provides SRO accommodations including meal service, as well as affordable hostel services. The YWCA's historic Back Bay headquarters at 140 Clarendon Street, now operated by Clarendon Residences LLC, provides SRO accommodations, low to market rate apartments and a 55-room moderately-priced hotel. |
The YWCA Boston has received donated original works of art through a local organization, The Art Connection. To learn more, please visit their website by clicking this logo.
